Tape Wavesは、米サウスカロライナを拠点に活動する、Kim と Jarod による男女デュオで、ボーカル Kim の耳なじみの良いソフトな歌声と、サーフポップな Jarod の美しいギターサウンドは、2014年のデビューアルバムで既に、日本でも早耳リスナーやメディアの話題に。さらには、デビュー当初より、引き合いに出されていた Seapony も、自身のストリーミングサイトで Tape Waves の曲をシェアしたり、ライブでも共演をするなど、さらに注目が集まる中、2016年に2ndアルバムをリリース、翌年には日本デビューも実現！

やわらかなボーカルとセンチメンタルなメロディー、うっとりするようなサーフポップなサウンドで、Seapony や Best Coast、Tennis、La Sera といったバンドのファンはもちろん、広くインディポップファンの心を奪う彼らの、2018年6月には待望のNEWアルバム「Distant Light」をリリース。

Tape Waves is Kim and Jarod Weldin, a dream pop duo from Charleston, South Carolina. Since they started playing music together in 2013, the pair has released two 7″ records on independent European labels that have reached listeners all over the world, and a full-length LP titled ‘Let You Go’ in July 2014. With shimmery guitars and hushed vocals, their songs evoke images of hazy summer days and young love. Their sun-drenched pop songs have garnered attention from numerous media outlets including NYLON, BlackBook and Impose.
